Iran, EU review expansion of ties
Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili conferred on Thursday with the EU External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero Waldner on expansion of ties between the two sides.
At the meeting, Jalili said existing challenges between Iran and Europe could be turned into cooperation under a common paradigm focusing on four principles as security, energy, democracy and economic cooperation.
Elaborating on Iran's democratic government, Jalili highlighted the country's potentials and capabilities at national and regional levels and voiced Tehran's readiness to kick off a new round of relations with Europe.
