'US should announce Iraq pullout timetable'
SEOUL — The US should announce a ‘timetable’ for withdrawal from Iraq, said His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Shaikh Mohammed, who was replying to a question during a Press conference in the South Korean capital yesterday, added: “The UAE would like Iraq to be united and stable. We hope that America will leave Iraq (in accodance with) a set timetable and and that Iraq will be united.”
He was talking to journalists on a wide range of topics on the eve of his departure from Seoul yesterday, after a highly successful two-day state visit.Answering another question on the emerging Middle East scenario, Shaikh Mohammed said: “The UAE would naturally be concerned if Iran decided to go ahead and produce an atomic bomb. But what Teheran is saying is that its nuclear programme is not weapon-oriented. Instead, the nuclear energy it is designed to produce is purely for peaceful purposes.”
Whose tune is Maktoum singing?!? Iran's of course...
