DAR AL HARB - U.K.: THE INDOCTRINATION OF THE YOUNG INFIDEL MIND

School kids draw their inspiration from Islam
By Keir Mudie

PUPILS at Stoneraise School near Carlisle were treated to a visit from an Islamic artist.

Razwan Ul-Haq gave lessons in Islamic art and culture and the whole school joined in events held over three days.

Headteacher Andrew Mason said: “The visit was very successful and the children really took to Razwan."

“He is a delightful man with a wonderful manner and that communicated itself with the children.”

Mr Ul-Haq taught in schools in Lancashire and Yorkshire before deciding to become a full-time artist seven years ago. He specialises in Arabic calligraphy and his work is exhibited in Leeds Art Gallery. His visit was organised by Creative Partnerships Cumbria as part of their work on multiculturalism.

Mr Mason added: “The children really learnt a lot and responded well to the idea of another culture.Events like this are very important because the children are part of a wider cultural community."

“Eventually, some of them will leave Cumbria and so visits like this give them a taste of other cultures that they will come across. The visit fits into our general work on citizenship and respect for other cultures."

“In school we have visited a Buddhist Temple, seen Indian dancers and been out for an Indian meal.“It helps to teach children tolerance and respect for other cultures.”
