Czechs afraid of Islamic fundamentalism -- poll
Brussels- Czechs believe that there are two many immigrants in the Czech Republic and they are afraid of Islamic fundamentalism, according to a survey published by the London-based euro-sceptical Open Europe institute.
According to the poll that was carried out by the TNS polling agency among 17,000 people in 27 EU countries in March, 76 percent of Czechs believe that there are too many immigrants in the Czech Republic. This view was only shared by 38 percent of Slovaks.
Most Czechs - 68 percent - expressed considerable fears of Islamic fundamentalism and said that Islamic fundamentalism poses a serious danger for the Czech Republic. This view was held by 34 percent of Slovak respondents.
Asked whether it was necessary to use force to prevent countries such as Iran to obtain nuclear weapons most Czech respondents - 64 percent - gave an affirmative answer, which placed them the fifth among other respondents.
Like most other respondents, most Czechs - 81 percent - said that taxes should be lowered for the sake of strengthening of the EU competitiveness.
Only 21 percent of Czech respondents said that the military budget should be increased to the detriment of other spheres. The EU average was 23 percent.
So they Czechs are afraid of the jihad, they think it should be fought militarily, yet they want lower taxes and do not want to increase the military budget...
Which army do the Czechs think will defend them?!?
