DAR AL HARB - U.K.: HOW FAST WILL THE LAWSUIT BE FILED?!?

Controversial Muslim policeman is not promoted

Ali Dizaei, one of the country’s most senior Muslim officers who recently criticised Scotland Yard in a memoir, has failed in his bid for promotion.

Mr Dizaei, a chief superintendent, was one of ten officers bidding for promotion to the rank of commander in the Metropolitan Police - the fourth highest rank in Britain’s largest force.

In his book, serialised in The Times last week, he writes scathingly about a four-year, multimillion-pound corruption investigation launched against him in 1999.

It finally ended when he was cleared of perverting the course of justice and misconduct in public office at the Old Bailey in 2003.
