Islamic school hate claim

AN Islamic school in west London has been accused of teaching students to hate Westerners and idolise Osama Bin Laden.

A former teacher at the King Fahd Academy in Acton claims the school - which has 750 pupils aged up to 18 - is a breeding ground for terrorists.

Whistleblower Colin Cook said the academy, which follows a Saudi Arabian curriculum, taught children that Jews were "repugnant" and religions such as Christianity and Judaism were "worthless".

"It is clearly racist and very divisive," Mr Cook told a newspaper. "I understand now why the pupils express anti-Western views at school. It is deeply immoral to put such ideas into the heads of young children."

He claimed few teachers at the academy spoke English, almost all classes were taught in Arabic, and boys and girls were divided into separate curriculums.

One textbook stated that Jews were cursed and asked pupils to list some repugnant characteristics of Jews, Mr Cook said.

He also claimed children regarded Osama Bin Laden a "hero" and had been heard saying they wanted to "kill Americans".

The father-of-three, 57, was fired after teaching English at the academy for 19 years over allegations of gross misconduct regarding exams.

He claims he was wrongfully sacked after reporting pupils cheating to exams board Edexcel and has lodged a tribunal claim for unfair dismissal, race discrimination and victimisation.
