Event set to address Islam awareness
By FRAN WILCOX Lansing Community Newspapers

EAST LANSING — This week, the Muslim Students' Association at Michigan State University invites the community to learn more about Islam. The group is holding its annual Islam Awareness Week Monday, Jan. 29 through Thursday, Feb. 1.

Kashif Saleem, an MSU senior and member of the association, said Islam Awareness Week is an initiative of Muslim Students' Association International. Each university chooses when and how to recognize it, however.

This year, the MSU chapter's theme is "Misconceptions about Islam."

"We were thinking, 'What is the biggest issue facing Muslims right now in the US?'" Saleem said.

"A lot of people we go to school with, interact and student with don't understand what our religion is about. There are a lot of misconceptions and misunderstandings."

...

"I hope people will come with an open mind and hopefully we can all learn something together," Saleem said.

You cannot help but be aware of islam as you hear stories on a daily basis of some jihadist chopping of someones head with a dull knife, or some fatwa being announced about how infidels are monkeys and pigs, etc...etc...etc...

Ohh and there is that oldie but goodie from Iran and Ahmadinejad where he says that Israel will be wiped off the face of the earth and the Great Satan will be destroyed as well...

I mean comeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee on, do we really need anymore awareness of islam?!? No, we don't...

What we need awareness of is 1400 years of jihad that islam has waged against West, aka as Christendom, and finally get enough awareness about us to know that the enemy is within our borders and is actively working to collapse our system...

We need to become aware enough that if we don't fight back, we are going to be about as doomed as Europe is right now...
