Muslim conference discusses Islamic super state
Ways of establishing an Islamic super state are being discussed at a conference now underway in the Australian city of Sydney.
Mark Tobin is at the meeting in the suburb of Lakemba and says today's meeting has been organised by controversial Islamic group Hizb ut tahrir.
The group is banned in a number of countries, but despite widespread calls, has not been banned in Australia.
Speaker at the meeting, Ashrash Doureihi says action needs to be taken to ensure an Islamic state is created.
He says it is important that the Muslim world demands a change, even if it means spilling onto the streets to create a revolution or staging a military coup.
What else is Australia's intelligenstia saying about this?!?
Check out my earlier post (link #2 below)on Australia and how Attorney General Ruddock says that there is not enough evidence to ban Hizb-ut-Tahrir...
