Thousands attend funeral of kidnapped Chaldean archbishop

Thousands of people attended the funeral of the kidnapped Chaldean archbishop Paulos Faraj Rahho in the northern Iraqi Christian village of Kremlis on Friday. Rahho was kidnapped on 29 February after leaving his church in a shootout that led to the deaths of his driver and two bodyguards. His body was found in a shallow grave on Thursday in Kremlis, which lies about 28 kilometres east of Mosul.According to the Voices of Iraq news agency, the funeral began on Friday morning and ended in the afternoon. After the service, the coffin bearing Rahho's body was lowered into a crypt at the back of the Mar Aada church in Kremlis.
