European countries to fund cultural projects
Damascus, 28 Jan. (AKI) - The European Commission delegation in Syria has announced a programme to finance media and cultural projects that will promote the European Union and its relations with countries from the Middle East.
The programme is aimed at small institutions and has a budget amounting to 11.5 million euros.
A statement released by the European Commission said that these financial grants will be directed to the production, transmission and diffusion of television and radio projects, as well as press and on-line information.
