Islamic phrase removed from Zack and Wiki
This title from Capcom has received a few complaints about an utterance it contains.
August 02, 2007 - Around a month ago, two games (the UK version of Mario Party 8 and Mind Quiz) were pulled from shelves for containing the word "spastic". This time, Capcom's Zack and Wiki for the Wii has been under fire from various Muslim entities for the inclusion of the phrase "Allahu akbar".
While it is not clear why the phrase was in the game in the first place, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) announced that the phrase had been removed from the game and will not be present in any future videos released to the public. "We have already contacted the team working on the game, and the phrase has been removed from the game and will not be heard in future videos released to the public," said a Capcom spokesperson to CAIR.
"Allahu akbar" is an Arabic phrase known as the takbir. It means "Allah is greatest" and is often used by Muslims in prayer and praise.
"We appreciated Capcom's willingness to address Muslim concerns and applaud the company's swift and appropriate actions," said CAIR Communications Coordinator Amina Rubin.
INGNORANT DHIMMIS all around us & moslems are pressing their advantage...
On the one hand the phrase 'allahu akbar' (they got the translation right) disgusts me because I have heard it chanted often enough while moslems slaughtered (chopped off their heads - - - Daniel Pearl, Nick Berg, etc...) infidels & shot at our military...
While on the other I want everything associated with islam to be ridiculed to the point that moslems heads will be exploding from sheer frustration & more importantly from HUMILIATION...
And another thing...
Why are moslems playing video games?!?
They should be slamming their foreheads into the ground while worshipping allah...
