Failed UK bomb attacks "hurt Islam" -- survey

LONDON, July 12 (KUNA) -- The failed bomb attacks on London and Glasgow, Scotland, have damaged public perceptions of Islam, a survey suggested Thursday.

An opinion poll showed that 71 percent of people questioned thought the abortive attacks gave Islam a bad name, the BBC said.

The research was carried out for the religious research organisation "Theos" and saw 1,000 people questioned.
