Doctors attempt to deflect anti-Muslim backlash

Doctors' organisations yesterday sought to head off a backlash against Muslim medics working in the UK as the health service's connection to those alleged to be behind the terror attacks in London and Glasgow strengthened, writes Nicholas Timmins.
Hamish Meldrum, chairman of the council of the British Medical Association, said overseas doctors "have made an invaluable contribution to the NHS over the years".
