Mosque humiliated me, says teacher
A LONG-STANDING employee at Croydon Mosque felt "humiliated" during an alleged purge of British-Pakistani teachers, an employment tribunal heard this week.
Rhuksana Asgar, 26, also claims her brother was assaulted during the mosque's investigation into allegations against her.
The teacher says she was fired without being given a grievance procedure and her reputation was also tarnished at Friday prayer announcements.
She is claiming unfair dismissal with racial discrimination, alleging Gujarati-speaking teachers were favoured over employees of British-Pakistani descent after a new imam arrived at the mosque in London Road, Thornton Heath, in 2005.
The former longest-serving female teacher at the mosque was giving evidence at the tribunal on Monday.

I think she is a liar and she desvered to be fired. I was one of her students and she really didnt know how to teach. All she used to come to mosque for was for boys/men. I am 2 scared to state my name. I was rudley treated by her. She discriminated me in the class. We also sent many complaints. She has no right to complain about the mosque. Interview the children and see what they say!
just because she is british it dose not mean that she was fired. she liys soooooo much i left mosque because she was really horibel to me i coludent take it anymore. then when i she left i was happy.
Rhuksana Asgar was once my appa my mosque teacher i feel discusssed of the way she teated one of my mates she used to talk to them about me i did not like that. i told of her. their were many complains about her from all students. every one was frightend of her. thay were to scared to say anything untill i complaind slowly peopel came and told appa in thire own time.
i wish i cold say my name and stand up to her but i am to scared i am just about brave to say wat happend if ruksana hers my comments she will fined out who it is then she will look for me i no she will. inshallah she wont
mulana ushraf takes more care of us and treats us fairly and equly.
she dose not have the right to be called appa let a lone be a teacher her is a message to her riksana u was my teacher not anymore please dont come bake you will be horribel to them
