Terrorists in Iraq are not Moslems but foes of that country
TEHRAN, June 13 (Itar-Tass) - The terrorists in Iraq are not Moslems and their actions are of benefit to the enemies of that country, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stated here during his meeting with Iraq Deputy Prime Minister Barham Saleh, who is now in Tehran.
“The terrorists are coming out against the entire human race. They are not Moslems, they have no religion, and their actions are of benefit to the enemies,” the president stated to be later quoted by the Presidential Press Service. Ahmadinejad said he was sure “Iraq will be able to cope with its difficulties”.
“There are many who cannot put up with a strong and independent Iraq, and this is precisely why they are creating various difficulties and problems for that country,” the Iranian president noted. In his opinion, the intrigues of the enemies, designed to “disunite Iran and Iraq” were futile.
The Iranian president also acknowledged “his country’s readiness to cooperate with Baghdad in economy, science, and technology”.
Ahmadinejad’s statement on terrorists was made before it was known about the bombing in the Iraq city of Samarrah of the minarets of a mosque, which is sacred for the Shit’ites. Therefore, it was not a reaction to that terrorist attack. However, there is no doubt that the most resolute condemnation of this crime, which had caused heart-felt pain among Iranian believers, will shortly come from Tehran.
