Imam Khomeini enlightened Islamic values in the hearts of Muslims

Imam Khomeini has enlightened Islamic values in the hearts of millions of Muslims around the globe, said Shabih Zehra, an Indian University student.

In an interview with IRNA, she said, "Imam Khomeini was a great world leader changing the course of the history by masterminding the Islamic Revolution of Iran and leading the same to its victorious conclusion on February 11, 1979."

"Today Imam Khomeini is not with us but his soul would remain the beacon light for generations to come" she added.

Another Indian University student, Sania Zehra while paying tribute to the great soul said, "Imam Khomeini's thoughts have purified our hearts and made us fearless against satanic powers. He taught us the lesson of resistance and patience and to be afraid of only the Almighty."

"In order to overcome the basic problems of mankind and the Islamic world we should remember the Imam's famous statement that "whoever is with God dignified and others would be humiliated," she said.

Although the Imam has departed but he remains alive for us and his thoughts, spirit and teachings would remain forever, Sania added.

In short, Imam Khomeini was an ocean of new insights into Islam in its totality. Any attempt to limit him and his relevance to Iran or a particular school of thought would be a great injustice to him, to Islam and perhaps to Iran itself, she said.
