DAR AL HARB/ISLAM - ISRAEL/HOLY LAND: WEST BANK MAY FALL TO HAMAS

Could this be nothing more than an elaborate ruse?!?

Both Fatah & Hamas were in need of money and fresh weapons, what better way to gain all of that if one of them stages a coup and the other plays the victim to the hilt...

The West, being absolutely ignorant throw their weight behind the victim, etc. While in time, that victim either reconciles with the aggressor or falls victim to the aggressor...

The aggressor gains everything and the victim comes out smelling like a rose...

This Fatah v Hamas thing stinks, stinks to high heaven...

I think the West is being played for fools and it is easy to do when it comes to the islamic jihad...

Hamas infiltrating Fatah security agencies in West Bank

RAMALLAH — The Palestinian Authority has concluded that Hamas is and has been recruiting Fatah officials in the West Bank.

PA officials said Hamas has infiltrated major security agencies loyal to PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas in an attempt to expand its influence. Hamas has agents in the lower and middle levels of security officers in such agencies as the Preventive Security Apparatus, civil police and National Security Forces in the West Bank.

"Hamas is doing in the West Bank what it did in the Gaza Strip," an official said. "It has infiltrated the ranks of most of the security agencies and has obtained an excellent intelligence picture."

...

"Izzedin Kassam members are disciplined and they don't do anything that they are not ordered to by the [Hamas] political leadership," said former PA minister Ziyad Abu Ziyad.

...

Fatah security chief Mohammed Dahlan, exiled from his base in the Gaza Strip, has warned of a Hamas takeover of the West Bank unless Fatah and the PA security forces undergo reform.
"If serious reforms are not undertaken in the security forces it would be easy for Hamas to take over the West Bank," Dahlan told the Reuters news agency.

...

"If they [Fatah] continue to dismantle the local elections in the West Bank and punish Hamas there, the United States and Israel will face another surprise there," Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahar said.
