Olmert pledges to stop Hamas rockets

PRIME Minister Ehud Olmert has promised to step up attacks on the Hamas militant group after a Palestinian rocket attack killed an Israeli man in southern Israel yesterday.
"No one is immune," Mr Olmert declared. He told the weekly cabinet meeting he had instructed the army to do whatever it took to halt the rocket fire.
"There will be no limit in acting against the terror groups and against those who are responsible for the terror," he said.
Yesterday's bloodshed signalled there was no end in sight for the latest round of fighting between Israel and Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip.
Seven alleged Hamas operatives were killed in air attacks over the weekend in the Gaza Strip as more than a dozen Palestinian rockets hit inside Israel, wounding two others.
