Black Hawk down in Sunni attack
A US helicopter has been shot down after coming under fire in a Sunni militant stronghold south of Baghdad but there was no immediate word on casualties, an Iraqi army official said.
In renewed attacks on coalition forces after a lull, four British soldiers and a civilian interpreter were killed yesterday in a roadside bomb blast that destroyed their armoured fighting vehicle in the southern Iraqi city of Basra, the British military said.
The deaths brought to six the number of British soldiers killed in Iraq this week, making it one of the deadliest for British forces since the US-led invasion in 2003.
Separately, four American soldiers were killed in two roadside bomb attacks in and around Baghdad on Wednesday, the US military said.
It said it was looking into the report of one of its helicopters being downed.

Whenever I hear of a helicopter being shot down, I always think of Mogadishu and Clinton's lack of equipping our troops...
I also think of the depravity of moslems exhibited there and around the world since...
