Muslim leaders warned of shaking hands with Satan
MANAMA
ARAB leaders who normalise ties with Israel will be shaking the hand of Satan, a top Palestinian opposition leader declared in Bahrain yesterday.
Palestine Liberation Front (PLF) office political and information head Abu Ahmed Fuad believes that some Arab countries have already started normalising relations with the Zionists, with others ready to follow.
"Peace hasn't been achieved and none of the terms laid by the Arab Conference have materalised, yet the Arab world has become friendly with Israel, forgetting the suffering and pain we are going through," he said.
"Unfortunately the Arab world is supporting the bad guys rather than those who are oppressed.
"We are dying and the Arab world thinks about expanding its business and profits, at our expense."
Mr Fuad said the Arab world should change its priorities and focus on supporting the Palestinians in their fight for independence and freedom.
"We hear about support for Palestine, but it never materialises most of the time," he said.
"If it did, we would have been acknowledged by the world, rather than just being outsiders in our own country."
The PLF is a resistance group which is designated as a terrorist organisation by Canada, the European Union and the US.
It is presently led by Abu Nidal Al Ashqar.
