Iran Broadcasts Sailor's Confession
By NASSER KARIMI
TEHRAN, Iran Mar 30, 2007 (AP)— A British military serviceman appeared on Iran's official Arabic-language television station on Friday and apologized for entering Iranian waters "without permission."
The serviceman, whose name was given in Farsi as Nathan Thomas Summers, said he was aware that the incident in which he was seized was the second time since 2004 that British military personnel had entered Iranian waters.
"Again I deeply apologize for entering your waters," Summers said.
In London, the British Foreign Office denounced the broadcast and said displaying the captives for "propaganda purposes" was "outrageous."
...
This morning as I heard the news of this 'second confession', I thought to myself: "What exactly are these sailors/marines going through in order to make these "apologies"...
Do people actually think they are not being tortured in some way by the Iranians?!? I don't hear any lefties or 'human rights' organizations squaking about the 'human rights' of these sailors/marines like we heard them squaking about the 'human rights' of terrorists...
Not even from the Eurabians, they should be ashamed of themselves...
