ISRAEL BOOSTS SECURITY AROUND ITS EMBASSIES
GAZA, March 6,ZANIS--- -- Israel has announced tightening security around a number of its embassies around the world following Iranian accusations that it was involved in the kidnapping of a senior Iranian official in Turkey. Israeli Haaretz paper said today that the Israeli Defence Ministry fears revenge either by kidnappings of Israeli diplomats or armed attacks by Iranian parties. It added that Iran accuses the Israel Mossad and the US Central Intelligence Agency of being behind the disappearance of its former Deputy Defence Minister General Ali-Raza Asgari, 63. Haaretz quoted The Daily Telegraph British paper as saying yesterday that the missing Iranian official is believed to have information about the Iranian nuclear programme and about the Israeli Air Force navigator, Ron Arad, who went missing in Lebanon 20 years ago.
