Report: Organization of Islamic Conference Group in Geneva announces it would not recognize the repo
Geneva, Feb. 18 (SUNA) - The Sudan News Agency learnt that the Organization of Islamic Conference Group in Geneva, headed by the Ambassador of Pakistan, has presented a letter to the President of the Human Rights Council, Luis Alfonso De Alba, in which it announced it would not recognize the report that would be presented by the fact-finding mission to Darfur to the Council in its third session..
The mission of the Human Rights Council suffers a new crisis after that of obtaining entry visas to Sudan after resignation from its membership by the Indonesian Ambassador, who left Addis Ababa to Geneva in protest of the approach adopted by the Chairperson of the mission, Jody Williams, in preparing the report on the situations in Darfur..
The Ambassador of Gabon to UN, Patrice Tonda, on his part, declined to accompany the mission to Chad last Thursday, and preferred to stay in Addis Ababa..
This shows the mission, that is due to return to Geneva on February 23, is not qualified..
The mission has created controversy since its formation after intensive meetings that led to its composition from some experts and human rights activists to please the European Group, instead of forming it from independent experts and representatives of member states in the Human Rights Council as desired by Sudan supported by the African Group, which insists on the diplomatic representation in the mission..
I guess moslems do not want to acknowledge another genocide do to their 'religion of peace', islam.
