Malaysian Islamic cleric proposes chastity belts to stop rape

Kuala Lumpur- A leading Malaysian Muslim cleric hassuggested that all women should be fitted with chastity belts as adeterrent to rape and incest, a news report said Friday. Abu Hassan Al-Hafiz, an influential cleric from the northeastern Terengganu state, said that women were most safe from sexualpredators if they donned some form of barrier to their sexual organs.
"We have even come across a number of unusual sex cases, whereeven senior citizens and children are not spared. The best way to avert sex perpetrators is to wear protection," Abu Hassan said in asermon late Thursday, quoted by the Star daily.
"My intention is not to offend women but to safeguard them from sex maniacs. Besides, husbands could also feel more secure, if youknow what I mean."

When are moslem going to face the fact that it is mohammad's islam that is a mysogonistic curse unleashed upon mankind?!?!?
A chastity belt is the equivalent of a band-aid, these people need a cure and chastity belts are not it.

I am aware of what chastity belts are, and I don't see any benefits in wearing one.
Now, chastity devices for men holds some appeal.
