Iranian film festival in UK marks Islamic
Revolution anniversary London, Feb 3, IRNA UK-Film festival-Islamic Revolution Two film festivals are being held in the UK to coincide with the 28th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
The first festival is being held at London University's School of African and Oriental Studies and runs from Wednesday, Feb 7, until Saturday, Feb 10.
The program includes screening of four features starting with "Child and the Soldier', a story about a young Iranian soldier escorting a delinquent child to school. It is directed by Reza Mir-Karimi.
"Tear of the Cold' by Azizollah Hamidnezhad is about a shepherdess who helps guerillas in the chilly borders of Kurdistan to lay mines and a military expert who defuses them.
Parviz Sheikhtadi's "Behind the Curtain of Fog' follows the story of a young deaf boy starting school and the relationship between his widowed mother and the school's headmaster.

The program of four films, which is organized by Iran's cultural consulate, will be repeated in the northern English city of Manchester from Sunday, Feb 11 to Tuesday, Feb 13.
