Suspected 'Jihadist' Britons released
Four Britons detained on the war-torn Somalian-Kenyan border three weeks ago flew back to the UK today and were held for nine hours under the Terrorism Act before being released.
The men, who are in their 20s and from London, were detained by Metropolitan Police officers as soon as their flight touched down at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire this morning.
They were taken to a west London police station and held under a provision of the Terrorism Act 2000 before being formally released from detention.
They were never arrested.
