Khatami blasts US policies
Head of the International Institute for Dialogue among Cultures and Civilizations Mohammad Khatami here Saturday criticized the US policies on international scenes.
"Pride of the US politicians in their country's position on the international scene has made them adopt policies that cause problems for the entire world," he said.
He pointed to great historical and geographical characteristics of Iran, saying, "The Iranian nation is the most important factor behind the country's greatness.
"The great Iranian people have taken valuable measures in the course of history and faced many problems but never yield to them." He added, "Iranians are a great nation. If the voice of dialogue among cultures and civilizations was heard from anywhere but Iran, it would not have such impacts on the world.
