IRAN NUCLEAR: TEHRAN ANNOUNCES MISSILE TESTS

Tehran, 22 Jan. (AKI) - Iran has announced new tests of short-range missiles just as the US Navy made it known it was sending a second aircraft carrier to the Persian Gulf, the USS John Stennis, which is reportedly scheduled to arrive in the next few weeks. Iranian state television reported on Sunday that the revolutionary guards corps, the Pasdaran, will test Zalzal and Fajr-5 missiles.

Last year, Iran tested missiles which are allegedly able to strike neighbouring Arab nations as well as Israel.
