The Islamic Jihad applauded the Eilat bombing that killed three people, and announced that "this is a welcomed attack that emphasizes the Palestinian resistance's intent to continue the Jihad until all Palestinian lands are freed.
"This is a message to the world saying that the Palestinian resistance has the right to choose the time and the place of their actions."

RAMALLAH, West Bank: Two Palestinian militant groups, Islamic Jihad and the Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, claimed joint responsibility Monday for a suicide bombing in a bakery in the Israeli Red Sea resort of Eilat, according to an Islamic Jihad spokesman.
Islamic Jihad said the bomber came from the West Bank, but did not release a name. The attacker was killed, along with three other people.
Al Aqsa is a violent offshoot of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah movement, and the group's gunmen are currently engaged in deadly factional fighting with the rival Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
The joint claim of responsibility was also carried by Al Manar, a TV station run by the Lebanese guerrilla group Hezbollah.

Islamic Jihad: Suicide bomber came from Jordan
A spokesperson for Islamic Jihad's military wing, the al-Quds Brigades, said that the suicide bomber who blew himself up in Eilat on Monday made his way to the southern resort city from Jordan.
He said the attack is part of Operation Ice Thawing and is in response to ongoing Israel aggressions against Palestinian gunmen in the West Bank.
