Swedish couple stabbed in India’s Kerala state

NEW DELHI - A Swedish tourist and his wife were stabbed by a man in an inebriated state in India’s southern tourist state of Kerala, media reports said on Monday.
The couple were visiting the Thekkady wildlife reserve on Sunday when the man charged at them with a knife.
While the Swedish national suffered injuries on his neck and hands, his wife, may lose vision as her right eye was hurt in the attack, the Times of India daily reported quoting police officials.
Police said the assailant, was mentally unstable and ruled out any motive behind the attack. He was arrested and would be produced before a local court later on Monday.
