EU must help Islam embrace Enlightenment - Germany

BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany's interior minister said on Thursday that parts of the Islamic world had yet to embrace the values of the Enlightenment, and the European Union should help integrate Muslims by promoting the training of imams.

Wolfgang Schaeuble told visiting Brussels journalists he would use Germany's six-month presidency of the 27-nation bloc to establish an EU-wide dialogue with Muslim leaders to improve integration, defuse tensions and fight "home-grown terrorism".

"Part of the Islamic world has yet to implement the Enlightenment," the Christian Democratic politician said, referring to the 17-18th century European movement to value freedom and reason rather than tradition. "We should not be arrogant but only helpful. After all, Christianity waged terrible conflicts for a few centuries until the process of Enlightenment took root, and part of Christianity shows signs of falling back in that direction." [Ohh yes, can't leave out Christianity...Let me guess, those would be American Christians that are sliding back...Too bad that Mr. Schaeuble has yet to have an instant of a Christian lopping off someones head as a few of his co-religionists stand in the background chanting JESUS IS GREATEST, JESUS IS GREATEST, JESUS IS GREATES ! ! ! The Islamic world must accept that equal rights for women was a universal principle enshrined in the United Nations charter and not "some peculiarity" of Europe, he said.

"Anyone who cannot accept the equality of men and women has not even come close to meeting one of the basic conditions for the 21st century. It's in Islam's own interest to make that very clear and decisive," he said.

Yes, I am sure that moslems will run right out and re-write the Qur'an and the perfect & immutable word of allah, their god, just because the E.U. wants them to attain enlightenment...

The Noble Qur'an

The Qur'an ("Qor-Ann") is a Message from Allah to humanity. It was transmitted to us in a chain starting from the Almighty Himself (swt) to the angel Gabriel to the Prophet Muhammad (saas). This message was given to the Prophet (saas) in pieces over a period spanning approximately 23 years (610 CE to 622 CE). The Prophet (saas) was 40 years old when the Qur'an began to be revealed to him, and he was 63 when the revelation was completed. The language of the original message was Arabic, but it has been translated into many other languages.

The Qur'an is one leg of two which form the basis of Islam. The second leg is the Sunnah of the Prophet (saas). What makes the Qur'an different from the Sunnah is primarily its form. Unlike the Sunnah, the Qur'an is quite literally the Word of Allah, whereas the Sunnah was inspired by Allah but the wording and actions are the Prophet's. The Qur'an has not been expressed using any human's words. Its wording is letter for letter fixed by no one but Allah.

Prophet Muhammad (saas) was the final Messenger of Allah to humanity, and therefore the Qur'an is the last Message which Allah has sent to us. Its predecessors such as the Torah, Psalms, and Gospels have all been superceded. It is an obligation - and blessing - for all who hear of the Qur'an and Islam to investigate it and evaluate it for themselves. Allah has guaranteed that He will protect the Qur'an from human tampering, and today's readers can find exact copies of it all over the world. The Qur'an of today is the same as the Qur'an revealed to Muhammad (saas).

What is it that people just don't get?!?
Moslems tell them over and over that the Qur'an, the word of allah, cannot be changed, that allah protects it from being changed and they are still under the impression that they will actually make a dent in the mind of a moslem?!?

An apostate moslem yes, but their minds have already been changed...

A moslem that is practicing taqiyya and kitman, no, because they are playing a game with the ignorant infidels...
