Vigilance of Iranians the Achilles heel of bullying powers: Ahmadinejad
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here Thursday said the Islamic Republic of Iran will soon join the club of nuclear powers and be recognized as such by the world.
Addressing a huge crowd in this western capital city, he said world powers should know that the Iranian nation is determined to pursue the path of prosperity and will soon reach the peak of progress and development.
"Bullying powers fear the growing awareness of Iranians because they know it is a prerequisite to progress," he added.
The US and its European cohorts know fully well that Iran is advancing in power, independence and progress and will increase its influence in the global arena, the Iranian president stressed.
Elsewhere in his speech, the president said government efforts to develop the country, including Kermanshah province, focused on the creation of opportunities, removal of obstacles in the way of progress and building infrastructure.
Referring to the huge potential of Kermanshah province, he said the government will support development of universities and higher education centers in the province.
President Ahmadinejad, accompanied by members of his cabinet, is winding up a three-day official visit to Kermanshah today.
