Bullying by certain powers will have no effect on Iranians: Ahmadinejad
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here Thursday said that the Iranian nation will not cower to pressure by bullying powers to give up its nuclear right.
Addressing a huge crowd in the city of Gilane-e Gharb in this western province, he said threats and political pressure cannot prevent the Iranian nation from pressing on in its rights and march to progress.
He said the Iranian nation will soon reach the zenith of nuclear success and will celebrate a nuclear victory during the `Ten-Day Dawn' ceremonies (Feb 11-20) marking the anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
The Iranian nation will resist bullying powers and will change its approach towards them if they continue in their wrong policies toward the Islamic Republic of Iran, the president said.
He called on the people to help build a more developed and powerful Iran that can be an example to other states.
President Ahmadinejad, accompanied by members of his cabinet, arrived in Kermanshah Tuesday for a three-day visit.
His current visit is his 23rd to various provinces of the country since the start of his initiative of bringing the government closer to the people.
He and members of his cabinet will hold a session in Kermanshah city later today to discuss the province's problems before they return to Tehran.
