Threats to burn down mosque
Police are to monitor offensive and threatening messages that have been posted on the Internet, saying that a new mosque to be built in Clitheroe could be torched.

Proposals to convert a former Methodist church in Lowergate, into a place of worship for the Muslim community have been highly controversial.

Seven previous applications for the mosque have been turned down, but planners at Ribble Valley Council finally gave the go-ahead to the latest proposal last week.

While the decision was greeted with cheers in the council chamber, others were left furious.

Several messages have been posted on Internet forums saying the mosque is not wanted. One warns that the building will be damaged if it is built.

It read: "There were 900 opposing signatures and practically everyone in town has threatened to burn it down. It won't last long."

The message went on to say that Muslims in the town should travel to mosques in neighbouring Blackburn instead.

Another message, posted on a different message board, said the decision was a "tragedy for Clitheroe" and is "the first step to Clitheroe ending up like Oldham etc".

A spokesman for Lancashire Police warned they would act against anyone posting inappropriate messages.

He added: "If anyone has any information about any such behaviour they should contact the police on 0845 1253545 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Threats will be followed by actions, as time unfolds before us...So it has been written, so it shall be...

What I found very interesting & what caught my attention was the mention of Clitheroe ending up like Oldham...

Now, I want to know what is happening or has happened in Oldham...

Has it become DAR AL ISLAM?!? Is it one of those places that infidels are no longer welcome because Oldham now is considered MOSLAM LAND?!?

I wish the author would have provided some context for that, though I know my wish will not be granted the MSM's (in large part) are working hand in glove with moslems in their jihad against the West...
