IRAN: "INTELLECTUAL" URGES THE WEST TO LISTEN TO 'OTHER VOICES'

Iranian intellectual urges bridge building between West and Islamic world

The West should listen to the voices of other cultures and increase mutual understanding through intensive dialogue, counsels Iranian thinker and intellectual Dr Ali Paya.

"Europe for a very long time has had a dominating role in world affairs. Whereas in today's world there are other voices which ought to be heard. If we don't listen to others we deprive ourselves of a wealth of knowledge," Paya told IRNA in an interview in Brussels.

The only way for humanity to get out from all of its present problems is to increase mutual understanding and to build bridges with other cultures, he said.

"If we move in our inner center and do not listen to other voices the danger of a clash of civilizations can emerge," warned Paya, who was in Brussels to participate in an international debate on knowledge and dialogue.

Personally, I believe The West should find an alternative to CRUDE/OIL and completely abandon Dar al Islam to its cesspool of hell...Complete disengagement and the cessation of any and all immigration from Dar al Islam to The West...
