Musharraf`s view of Modern Islam only for pleasing US: Imran

Talking to journalists here Thursday after addressing party workers on the occasion of an Iftar party given by the Provincial Vice President Zahid Hussain Kazmi, he said extremism is amongst the Muslims rather its in the Americans and Britishers themselves. The explicit example of this is the 0.6 million Iraqi deaths so far from 2003, racial violence in Britain, and Hindu-Muslim clashes in India.

He said President General Pervez Musharraf`s Modern Islam means the Islam of Bush, he wishes to impose that.

Imran Khan said General Musharraf has never been in favor of fair and transparent elections, as he knows of the PML vote bank.

All opposition parties need to unite on a one-point agenda and do away with dictatorship.
Zamrud Khan, PPP Rawalpindi said Imran Khan`s aim in the assembly has always been protection of the rights of the masses. He said that PPP will never back out of the charter of democracy.
