Germany: Mobile Mosque Takes Off
A mobile mosque has become the latest vehicle on the road in Germany.
The Islamobile, or Motormosque, will tour communities to stamp out prejudice and educate non-Muslims about Islam.
The 45ft-long vehicle can be rented out for £350 a day and features two retractable minarets (mosque spires), a cupola with crescent moon and loudspeakers that broadcast Islamic messages.
Builders Islam Info created the £130,000 information point on wheels in Germany – home to three million Muslims - to help clear up misunderstandings about the faith.
A spokesman for the group told the Daily Express: "With the help of Allah and thanks to the work of our volunteers, the Islamobile is an effective educational tool, whose purpose is to familiarise Western society with Islam."
