The United States Government: Patron of Islam?
by Daniel Pipes and Mimi Stillman
...
The earlier Western efforts to pander to Muslim sentiments came up short, as the Muslim leaders of Egypt fought Napoleon with all they had, while Mussolini failed to find the widespread Muslim support he had hoped to win. So too, the American effort will no doubt end in failure. It is nearly inconceivable that moderate Muslims will have any influence over their more radical coreligionists.
Practicalities aside, American officials would do well to ask whether their statements on Islam do not conflict with their government's basic principles. The United States has a message for the world, and that message is not Islam. The message, it hardly needs pointing out, is one of individualism, freedom, secularism, rule of law, democracy, and private property.
Finally, federal officials may not realize the implications of their scolding of Americans who are apprehensive about Islam, and their noisy espousal of that religion's virtues. Here, then, it is spelled out for them: In adopting a determinedly apologetic stance, they have made themselves an adjunct of the country's Islamic organizations. By dismissing any connection between Islam and terrorism, complaining about media distortions, and claiming that America needs Islam, they have turned the U.S. government into a discreet missionary for the faith.
Without anyone quite realizing it, the resources of the federal government have been deployed to help Muslims spread their message, and, in effect, their faith. If the "war on terror" is to have any larger purpose, it must be to free people from the yoke of politicized Islam. There can be no better place to begin than right at home.

The Common Strategies of Napoleon, Kaiser Wilhelm II, Mussolini and Hitler
by Norman Berdichevsky
...
The Naive European and American Patrons of Islam
With the exception of Hitler, whose consistent anti-Jewish ideology made him a natural ally of “selective jihad” and was therefore in a win-win situation, the European leaders, ministers, officials, and politicians who at one time or another thought that their country’s objectives in war or international relations could be advanced by some sort of alliance through encouraging the world’s Muslims to rise up in a “selective jihad” against other Western Christian nations, were abysmally ignorant of the genie they had let out of the bottle for whom all the infidels were ultimately to become their target. Napoleon derived no benefit whatsoever from his Egyptian adventure and wasted valuable resources and manpower. The Kaiser and Mussolini gained little of value by their proclamations as Protectors of Islam and rejected the potential friendship and alliance with Jewish forces that could have aided their cause immeasurably.
What is the relevance of this history for today? Al-Qaeda and its supporters and a multitude of other similar groups –Islamic Jihad, Hamas, Hizbollah, etc. have taken responsibility for atrocious acts of murder and terror around the world in their campaign of global jihad. In an incisive article in the Middle East Quarterly in January 2002 by authors Daniel Pipes and Mimi Stillman, aptly entitled “The United States Government – Patron of Islam?”, documentation is made of repeated American governmental excuses that Islam is a “noble” religion, that there is NO clash of civilizations, and that a few extremists have “hijacked” Islam. The authors include every American President, Secretary of State, officials of the State Department and even former heads of the CIA for the last three administrations (i.e. both parties). Their motivation is easy to understand. They believe any criticism of the doctrine of jihad will be regarded as denigrating Islam.
The same “party line” rules in Great Britain and Western Europe where the conventional wisdom holds that there is no clash of civilizations and “jihad” is to be interpreted as some sort of spiritual struggle that every individual Muslim engages in to purify his soul. This is how jihad is interpreted by Muslim advocacy groups in the West such as The Council on American-Islamic relations (CAIR) whose goals are to “enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice and empower American Muslims.”
In an address to Congress and interview on NBC's "Dateline," Sept. 12, 2001, President Bush declared that …”the terrorists practice a fringe form of Islamic extremism that has been rejected by Muslim scholars and the vast majority of Muslim clerics.” Apart from the Saudi government, apparently under overwhelming pressure to respond to the fact that 19 of the 21 hijackers were Saudis, condemned the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon. Apart from this, no references were given as to who and where these "moderate Muslim clerics and scholars" are and what their standing is as recognized by Muslim institutions of learning or important positions sanctioned by governments anywhere in the Muslim world. There is certainly no such scholar or authority to match Al-Qaradawi. Since then, numerous and equally atrocious attacks in Jerusalem, Madrid, Bali, Algiers, Amman, Chechnya, Kashmir, India and Pakistan have not produced unequivocal public or highly visible condemnations of the Al-Qaeda concept of jihad by these many unnamed and unknown "moderate" clerics and scholars in any international forum. No internationally recognized Muslim scholar has condemned murderous suicidal attacks on Israeli civilians.
Pipes and Stillman correctly contend that the State Department has, in effect, become a “Patron” of Islam, yet if we are to learn anything at all from history, it is that the Islamic concept of jihad was unequivocally understood as “violent holy war” against the infidels and not subject to interpretation. It remains a political weapon that has been used quite similarly by the last Ottoman Caliph, the Taliban, the Iranian mullahs, Al-Qaeda and even rival extremist Sunni and Shi'ite clerics in Iraq today. It is still attractive to much extremist opinion in parts of the Arab world, Chechniya, the Sudan, Pakistan and even in Indonesia. Its attraction throughout the 20th century for those autocratic and dictatorial European leaders who sought to become “Protectors of Islam” and “borrow” it, was to exploit its violent and evil appeal for their own purposes.

DAR AL HARB-U.S.A.: MOSLEMS INTENTIONALLY SEGREGATING THEMSELVES OUT OF AMERICAN SOCIETY & FORMING MOSLEM GHETTOS NEAR YOU
The perils of home schooling for American Muslims
Commentary by Jeffrey T. Kuhner
Increasing numbers of Muslims living in the U.S. are opting for home schooling. This is a bad idea for one simple reason: They are segregating themselves from mainstream American society.
A recent March 26, 2008 piece in The New York Times, “Many Muslims Turn to Home Schooling,” on the struggles faced by Pakistani-American girls in Lodi, California, highlights the problems caused by home schooling. Although many Muslim, as well as Christian, Jewish and secular parents view home schooling as a necessary alternative to the social ills plaguing public schools—such as drugs, violence, promiscuity, and the celebration of the hip-hop/celebrity culture (to name just a few)—the adverse consequences on their children are profound and usually last a lifetime. The biggest problem is that home schooling by traditionalist religious communities perpetuates the creation of social ghettoes, whereby students are often alienated and disconnected from the larger American culture. It fosters a kind of balkanization that, ultimately, is not good for America or for the students.
Take the case of the Pakistani-American girls profiled in The Times article. Coming from traditional Islamic families, many of the girls were forced to leave public school and study at home. This is because their parents wanted them to cook and clean for their male relatives and siblings. It was also done to prevent the girls from being exposed to liberating female cultural mores, such as wearing Western clothes and spending free time after school with friends.
“Some men don’t like it when you wear American clothes — they don’t think it is a good thing for girls,” said Hajra Bibi, a 17-year-old who is now studying at the 12th-grade level. “You have to be respectable.”
Moreover, many of the parents insist the girls remain isolated so that they can intermarry with relatives or close friends from the same villages in Pakistan. The goal is to reinforce their ethnic and religious identity. This serves only to act as a bulwark against assimilation into American culture.
“Their families want them to retain their culture and not become Americanized,” said Roberta Wall, the principal of the district-run Independent School, which supervises home schooling in Lodi and where home-schooled students attend weekly hour-long tutorials.
These girls are therefore being denied the opportunity to participate fully in American life. They are also the victims of a deep-seated misogyny, which seeks to reinforce the traditional Pakistani male-dominated culture. In this culture, it is the girls rather than the boys who are forced into home schooling. Of the more than 90 Pakistani or other Southeast Asian girls of high school age who are enrolled in the Lodi district, 38 are being home-schooled. By contrast, only 7 of the 107 boys are being home-schooled—often due to academic-learning issues. Once the girls finish high school they are expected to get married whereas many of the boys, however, proceed to university.

"I expect the Jihadi influence to spread after the Americans' exit from Iraq and to move towards Jerusalem," al-Zawahri said in a 90-minute audio recording. "We promise our Muslim brothers that we will do our utmost to strike Jews in Israel and abroad with help and guidance from Allah," he said in response to questions asking when the group would attack Israel.

By FrontPage Magazine
The following essay, adapted from the Introduction to this booklet, shows how, as early as the 1980s, operatives from the Muslim Brotherhood, parent group for al Qaeda and Hamas, formulated a blueprint for a "jihadist process" that would ultimately sabotage the "miserable house" of the United States. These Muslim Brotherhood operatives saw that the work of undermining the U.S. could be best accomplished by the use of front groups such as the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Muslim Students Association. But while CAIR was designed to work in the legal-cultural realm, posturing as another of the minority rights groups functioning in the public square, the MSA's role was to be restricted to college campuses, where it would advance the cause of radical Islam and lead the effort to stigmatize Israel.
Over the next several days, Front Page will publish profiles of individual chapters of the MSA on a variety of campuses around the country, showing how specifically they achieve the broad goals of the organization. – The Editors

DAR AL HARB/ISLAM: BRINGING 'INTERNATIONAL LAW' INTO SHARI'AH LAW COMPLIANCE
A new report, 299 Euros, about 'International Law' & its enhancement in order to bring it into compliance with Shari'ah Law:
International Law and Islamic Law can be Explored and Improved to Enhance Modern International Relations
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/c87507) has announced the addition of "International Law and Islamic Law" to their offering.
The relationship between modern international law and Islamic law has raised many theoretical and practical questions that cannot be ignored in the contemporary study and understanding of both international law and Islamic law. The significance and relevance of this relationship in both academic and practical terms, especially after the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001, is now well understood.
Recent international events in particular corroborate the need for a better understanding of the relationship between contemporary international law and Islamic law and how their interaction can be explored and improved to enhance modern international relations and international law.
The articles reproduced in this volume examine the issues of General Principles of International Law, International Use of Force, International Humanitarian Law, International Terrorism, International Protection of Diplomats, International Environmental and Water Law, Universality of Human Rights, Women's Rights, Rights of the Child, Rights of Religious Minorities, and State Practice.
The essays have been carefully selected to reflect, as much as possible, the different Islamic perspectives on each of these aspects of international law.

DAR AL HARB-U.S.A.-NEW YORK: WALL STREET & SHARI'AH FINANCE (NOTHING LESS THAN "JIHAD WITH MONEY") - WILL WE LEARN IN TIME?!? DOUBT IT...
Jihad Comes to Wall Street
"Sharia finance" does exactly what it promises, financing the spread of sharia — and terror.
By Alex Alexiev
If you’ve seen Geert Wilders’s film Fitna, you may not have noticed a single headline amongst all the bombings, beheadings, and earnest expressions of Islam’s eventual world domination: Halal-fund: investments for Muslims. But the investment vehicles referenced are an essential part of radical Islam’s efforts to insinuate itself into Western societies in order to destroy them from within. And Wall Street, barely out of the woods from its disastrous run-in with sub-prime mortgages — and having lost one of its historic investment houses, Bear Stearns, in the process — is now chasing the very kind of “sharia finance” against which Wilders's movie warns, a business line that may eventually wind up being even more calamitous than the subprime-mortgage fiasco.
For the growing army of its acolytes, who salivate at the prospect of tens of billions of dollars in transaction fees from the burgeoning industry, sharia-compliant finance is seen as little more than a cuddly Islamic version of socially conscious investment — with ethical strictures forbidding usury and sin industries, and emphasizing charity. Indeed, a conference on the subject last Fall co-sponsored by the Wall Street Journal was titled just that: “Islamic Ethical Investment.” According to this rosy interpretation, sharia finance is a windfall for capital markets — allowing Wall Street to skim some foam off the ocean of petrodollar liquidity in the Middle East, and put it to good use.
#ad#Other interpretations are possible, of course. Critics see sharia finance as a massive subversion campaign by radical Islam designed to legitimize sharia in the West, to undermine our markets, and ultimately to imperil our free-enterprise system and national security — all the while exposing banks to financial risks that make the sub-prime fiasco look like a walk in the park. For its proponents and ideological enablers — such as the well known suicide-bombing advocate, Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi — sharia finance is nothing less than “Jihad with money.” As al-Qaradawi explains, “God has ordered us to fight enemies with our lives and with our money.” Unfortunately for Wall Street, it’s hard to argue with the good sheikh on that score. Far from being a guide to ethical investment, sharia finance is indistinguishable from sharia itself.
Sharia is a reactionary-to-the-core medieval Islamic doctrine that claims control over every aspect of every Muslim’s life. It imposes such “ethical” mandates on Muslims as the obligation to discriminate against women and non-Muslims; to kill homosexuals, adulterers, and apostates; to establish and maintain Muslim rule around the world; and to carry out violent offensive jihad against infidels. Notably, for those Muslims who cannot engage in physical jihad using force of arms, sharia requires that they support jihad financially. This is what sharia finance is all about.

DAR AL HARB/ISLAM-U.S.A./IRAQ: FEMALE JIHADSTS (HUMAN EXPLOSIVE DEVICES-MOSTLY) GIVE MOSLEM JIHADISTS A "TACTICAL EDGE"
Jihad of the Mujaidaat
Female suicide bombers have recently had an increased impact in the Iraq War.
By Patrick Grumley and Matt Leighton
s the fifth anniversary of the Iraq War billowed into civil unrest in Washington, a female suicide bomber blew herself up in the town of Balad Ruz just northeast of Baghdad, killing at least five people. Perhaps such action from female suicide bombers (known as the Mujaidaat) symbolizes the current strength of al-Qaida's efforts to rid the Middle East of American presence.
In an attempt to keep in line with Quranic doctrine, al-Qaida and other terrorist networks have been reluctant to use women to carry out bombings. Since the United States invasion of Iraq, women have accounted for 18 bombings of both soft and hard targets. However, the chronology of these attacks is heavily weighted toward the present day. In 2007, the Mujaidaat accounted for seven suicide bombings. Correspondingly, the recent March 19th bombing was the second attack that had taken place that week (which is the first time two female suicide bombers had successfully hit their targets in the same week) and already the eighth attack in 2008.
Farhana Ali, a terrorism specialist (and perhaps foremost authority on the study of female terrorists) at RAND Corporation claims female bombers give the jihadists a "tactical edge" in gaining a status of power in the war in Iraq. Women have less difficulty approaching their targets because bombs can easily be concealed under a burqa (a robe worn by some Muslim women that covers the body from head to toe), and can make explosive devices appear as nothing more than a pregnant belly.
Ali also points out that there is much more to al-Qaida's transition to the Mujaidaat than just strategic effectiveness. In the Hadith and Wahhabist texts (schools of Islamic thought) there is nothing more important to a mother than her son. She further notes, "When a woman loses her son to occupation forces for whatever reason, it may be … such an enormous loss and grief that it could only be motivation she needs to exact revenge."
Ali and other analysts have also noticed that the recruitment process for female jihadists has been unlike what they have seen in the past. Baghdad military spokesman Maj. Bradford Leighton (who is of no known relation to your St. James' columnist) told The Washington Times that, "Most suicide bombers tend to be male foreigners from either northeast Africa or Saudi Arabia. With women, it appears terrorists are recruiting Iraqi women as well as foreigners."
Furthermore, intelligence has gathered cases of Iraqi women, who have mutually lost a son or husband to jihad, talking over the Internet about considering joining the cause of the Mujaidaat.

With women, it appears terrorists are recruiting Iraqi women as well as foreigners."
Furthermore, intelligence has gathered cases of Iraqi women, who have mutually lost a son or husband to jihad, talking over the Internet about considering joining the cause of the Mujaidaat.

DAR AL HARB-U.K.: "MY LIFE WAS EASIER BEING A TERRORIST THAN IT IS NOW THAT I AM NO LONGER A TERRORIST"
Reformed Muslim radical fears future in Britain
By Luke Baker
British-born Muslim Hassan Butt spent 10 years inside radical Islamist groups, recruiting and training militants, before renouncing violence and trying to help others escape radical Islamist networks.
It is a past he is not proud of, but which he also does not seek to hide when he discusses his experiences.
"I was involved in the whole world of radical Islam from the age of 16 onwards. For 10 years it was my family," Butt told Reuters in an interview on Wednesday, seeking to explain how he became enveloped in a world of "religious hatred".
"I financed terrorism, I recruited people to go to terrorist training camps, I myself have been to terrorist training camps," he said, mentioning Afghanistan and Pakistan, where he spent two years after the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States.
But nearly three years ago, Butt began questioning his beliefs and the direction he was taking, and after four British Muslims blew themselves up in London in July 2005, killing 52 people, he began to turn his back on militancy.
But it has not been a simple transition.
"My life was easier being a terrorist than it is now that I am no longer a terrorist," he said, speaking by phone from his home in Manchester, northern England.
"It's not easy being hunted by jihadis who want to kill you, moderate Muslims who think you have betrayed Islam, and the Manchester police who might want to prosecute me."
A court ruled last week that the Manchester police could seize notes and documents from a journalist, Shiv Malik, who is writing a book about jihadi networks that draws on Butt's knowledge and experiences.
Manchester police would not confirm Butt was a target, saying only that Malik's notes were wanted as part of an ongoing investigation. "It would be inappropriate to discuss the detail at this stage," a spokeswoman said.

DAR AL HARB-E.U./U.S.A.: "FAITH IN MODERATE ISLAM MAY BE THE BIGGEST COUNTERFEIT FAITH OF ALL."
We should be listening to converts from Islam
By Cal Thomas
Pope Benedict XVI last week baptized a man into the Catholic Church. The man, Magdi Allam, had converted from another faith. There is nothing unusual about that. People convert from non-faith to faith, or from one religion to another, or within faiths to different denominations all the time. However, this conversion was different.
Allam, who has taken a new name, Magdi Cristiano Allam, was a Muslim, and not just your average, everyday Muslim. Allam was a prized "moderate" Muslim, upon whom many in Italy and the West have pinned their hopes for a new generation of similarly moderate Muslims who would renounce terrorism and violence and lead Islam into a bright new promised land of tolerance, inclusion and religious pluralism.
From the reaction in the Muslim world to Allam's conversion, there apparently remains a very long way to go before moderation is achieved. The Children of Israel wandered 40 years in the wilderness before they arrived in the Promised Land. The journey to the promised land of Islamic moderation may take a lot longer - if the wanderers get there at all.
The Wall Street Journal reported recently that Allam's conversion had produced "fury in Muslim lands," which is becoming increasingly easy to do. The baptismal ceremony was televised, its pictures flashed around the world, prompting some to worry that the Vatican was engaging in a ritual of triumphalism. Allam is giving his critics plenty of fuel for their fires. He said his conversion has "liberated" him from "darkness" and allowed him to see Islam more clearly. "I realized that Islam is not compatible with core values, such as respect for life and freedom of choice," he said in an interview.
As if to underscore his point, three bodyguards provided by the Italian government stood nearby. When someone converts to Islam in the West, there is no need for security.
The Vatican issued a statement that said Allam's views "remain his personal opinion without in any way becoming the official expression of the position of the pope or the Holy See."
Maybe not, but they are increasingly the expressions of many other converts from Islam, and one wonders why we aren't listening to what these converts have to say about their old faith, instead of to those still in the faith who, it could be fairly concluded, might have an agenda that is not in the best interests of the West.
...
In Islam, they are mostly intimidated to stay in that faith. That's what the converts from Islam tell us in increasing numbers. We should be listening more to what they are saying instead of investing too much faith in "moderate" Islam. Faith in moderate Islam may be the biggest counterfeit faith of all.

Labour: We'll break up Islamic ghettos
Minister speaks out on 'no-go' areas for whites
Exclusive by Bob Roberts, Political Editor
Muslim ghettos which have become no-go areas for whites must be broken up, Labour will declare today.
In a speech which is set to spark a storm Communities Secretary Hazel Blears will say there is a need to take a hard look at the impact of immigration on cities.
It will be the first time a senior Government minister has called for the break-up of areas dominated by racial or religious groups.
And it follows Church of England Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali attack on Islamic extremists for creating no-go areas across Britain.
Trevor Phillips, chairman of the Commission for Equalities and Human Rights, has also warned Britain is "sleepwalking into segregation". But Ms Blears risks provoking fury with claims Labour are "pandering to the right" by attacking immigrants.
She will tell the Left-wing Fabian Society: "No neighbourhood should be dominated by one group in ways which make others feel alienated or unsafe."
"We must ensure community cohesion is maintained. No one faith or ethnic group can dominate a locality to the exclusion of all others."
She went on to say there was "nothing wrong" with unthreatening cultural enclaves, such as traditional China Towns.
Ministers are considering cutting funding to community groups based on religion or race and thinking of stopping councils allocating housing along ethnic lines.

Vandals target Islamic Center
By ANGELA CARBONE
WEST SPRINGFIELD - The Islamic Center of Western Massachusetts has recently been the target of three attacks.
On March 21, the windows and windshield of a van parked at the center were smashed with a large stone while Islamic Society members were in the midst of their Friday prayer, Islamic Society President Dr. M. Saleem Bajwa said Tuesday. The front door of the center's new hall was shattered with another large stone on March 26. On March 28, two large windows of the main building were smashed with stones. These windows are high off the ground and would require some force to break.
In addition to the vandalism, the Islamic Center received threatening telephone calls.
Local police and the FBI have been called in to investigate.
West Springfield Police Sgt. Mark Sypek said yesterday that he wouldn't characterize the vandalism as hate crimes. "I haven't seen any graffiti that would indicate that," he said.
It is more likely that the destruction was carried out by teenagers, he said.
Bajwa agreed that the vandals could indeed be teenagers, but the effort it took to hurl the large stones is troubling. People at the center have suffered verbal attacks and finger-pointing before, but this destruction is more serious.
"This seems to be systematic and planned," Bajwa said. "The problem is, we don't know where it's going to stop."
The telephone call, captured on the phone's message machine, features a male voice attempting some kind of accent. The voice says: "You must renounce the violence that your people are perpetrating against the citizens of the free world or there will be hell to pay."

DAR AL HARB-GERMANY: 120,000 MOSLEMS IN COLOGNE - - - 12% OF THE POPULATION
Germany's Biggest Mosque Spurs Fear of `Islamization' of Europe
By Seda Sezer
The twin spires of Germany's largest Gothic cathedral will soon be joined on the Cologne skyline by the minarets of the country's biggest mosque.
The $23 million Ehrenfeld Central Mosque, scheduled to be completed in about two years, will help bring Islam out of the back streets and reduce the influence of radicals, Mayor Fritz Schramma says. Others see the building as a symbol of Islamic extremism and further evidence that Cologne's 120,000 Muslims, more than half of them Turkish immigrants, refuse to integrate.
"I pray at the little chapel next to the Cologne Cathedral, and my prayer doesn't become more valuable if I pray in the big cathedral,'' said Laszlu Reischl, 56, a taxi driver. "I don't understand why they insist on building a big mosque.''
The controversy reflects Germany's struggle over almost five decades to incorporate its largest ethnic minority. Tensions were revived in February when Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan told Turks at a Cologne rally that "assimilation is a crime against humanity.'' Some lawmakers who oppose mostly Muslim Turkey's bid to join the European Union accused him of preaching Turkish nationalism on German soil.
Cologne has Germany's highest concentration of Muslims, at 12 percent of the population. The new mosque will be built in the immigrant district of Ehrenfeld, about two miles from the 13th- century Cologne Cathedral.
The 53,800-square-foot building will fit 1,200 worshippers. It will replace a converted pharmaceutical warehouse that has housed the mosque since 1984 and holds about half as many people. Many spill into the parking lot during Friday prayers.
Permanently Here
"When our fathers came here, they rented the least expensive place to pray,'' says Mehmet Gunet, legal adviser to the Cologne-based Turkish Islamic Union for Religious Affairs. "We are permanently here and we want more beautiful prayer houses.''
German architect Paul Boehm, who has worked on local churches, won a contest to design the mosque. The building consists of curved concrete walls connected to a central dome by glass to convey openness and transparency.
The two 55-meter (180 feet) minarets will be about a third as high as the cathedral spires. The complex will also house offices, restaurants and shops.
"We want to show that Muslims can live in peace in a society,'' Gunet says. "We are coming out of hidden places and saying, `We are here, you can come and look in.'''
`Parallel Society'
The Islamic Union, a group of Imams and theologians appointed by the Turkish government's Religious Affairs authority, is awaiting final planning approval and expects construction to begin in June.

School Exhibition Cancelled following Violence by Muslim Pupils
A school in Nijmegen yesterday cancelled a cartoon exhibition about discrimination following threats by Muslim pupils. Before this decision was taken, the exhibition was already literally destroyed.
Muslim pupils of the ROC Nijmegen, a large school with largely immigrant pupils, pulled cartoons from the walls shortly before these were to be presented officially. They also threatened to set the school alight. The school management decided to call off the opening.
In the exhibition, artists expressed their vision on discrimination in a humorist manner. "My expectation was that the pupils would be able to laugh about it", Ralph Sluis stated. He heads a local anti discrimination organisation. Sluis was the exhibition's coordinator.
A total of fifteen cartoonists worked on the exhibition. According to Sluis, the trouble was sparked by a work by cartoonist Peter de Wit, which shows two women in niqabs, the all-covering Islamic garments.
In the cartoon, one niqabed woman tells the other: "You filthy Muslim". The other one replies: "Yes I know, I'll wash". This woman smells bad, the cartoon shows.
The cartoon's message is that someone is not filthy if they wear a niqab. "A small group of pupils interpreted the cartoons in an entirely different way than the artist intended", Sluis stated.

Muslim reformer's 'heresy': The Islamic state is a dead end
From Nigeria to Indonesia, Sudanese law professor spreads ideas of a secular state and human rights.
By Jane Lampman
Abdullahi Ahmed an-Naim has seen what can happen to an Islamic reformer: His mentor was executed in 1985 in Sudan; he himself had to flee the country. Still, the self-described "Muslim heretic" has no trouble traveling the Islamic world spreading his controversial message:
There is no such thing as an Islamic state.
A secular state and human rights are essential for all societies so that Muslims and others can practice their faith freely, he tells his co-religionists.
"My motivation is in fact about being an honest, true-to-myself Muslim, rather than someone complying with state dictates," says Mr. Naim, a professor of law at Emory University in Atlanta since 1999. "I need the state to be neutral about religious doctrine so that I can be the Muslim I choose to be."
So committed is this scholar to opening the door to free debate within his faith that he helped organize the first "Muslim Heretics Conference" in Atlanta over the weekend. Some 75 Muslims, engaged in various reform projects, gathered to discuss issues related to sharia (Islamic law), democracy, and women's rights – and how to cope with dissent and its consequences.
"We celebrate heresy simply to promote innovative thinking," he says. "Every orthodoxy was at one time a heresy."
Naim's personal project involves what he calls "negotiating the future of sharia." As Islamic societies struggle to define themselves in a globalized world and some talk of creating Islamic states to codify sharia, he says the state and religion must be kept separate. But religion should still have its place in political life, allowing Muslims to express principles of sharia as they see fit. He believes this is truly Islamic, and that articulating the reasons why will help ordinary Muslims not be taken in by political slogans.
"I know for a fact that Abdullahi has a following among young Muslims in places like Malaysia and Indonesia," says John Esposito, head of the Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. "These people are often marginalized in their societies, but over time, these positions can become mainstream."

DAR AL HARB-U.S.A.-NEW YORK: MOSLEMS DEMAND THE INCORPORATION OF THEIR HOLIDAYS INTO SCHOOL CALENDARS
Muslims Push for Public School Holidays
by Saeed ShabazzSpecial to the NNPA from the Final Call
NEW YORK (NNPA) - A New York City councilman and 12 colleagues have sponsored a resolution calling on the state to require the Department of Education to incorporate the Muslim holidays of Eid Ul-Fitr and Eid Ul-Adha as observed holidays in the city’s public school calendar.
Immediately Mayor Michael Bloomberg called Resolution 1281 a “slippery slope,” saying students cannot afford more days off. “When you have a city as diverse as we do, with virtually every religion known to man practiced, if we closed school for every single day there wouldn’t be any school,” news reports quoted the two-term mayor as saying.
“The mayor’s reaction is not a surprise to me,” Councilman Robert Jackson (D-Manhattan), a Muslim, told The Final Call. “This resolution is clearly important because it shows respect for Islam,” the councilman added. “It also says to those who say no, are you willing to change as the population of New York City has changed?”
The resolution quotes from data supplied by Columbia University’s Middle East Institute’s NYC Project, which says the estimated Muslim population in the city is 600,000 people. According to the Coalition for Muslim School Holidays, 12 percent of NYC school students are Muslim, with 95 percent of Muslim school-age children attending public schools.Councilman Leroy Comrie (D-Queens) told The Final Call it was a “no-brainer” to support Resolution 1281. “I have at least seven mosques in my district. It is important to show that we will do whatever we can to work with all communities,” the deputy speaker of the council said. “If you are part of the city then you should be respected and acknowledged as everyone else is,” Councilman Comrie added.
A blogger, commenting in the New York Sun, the newspaper that broke the story, said, “school closings were old union negotiated holidays from back in the day when many of the teachers and students were Jewish; and that there is now a different demographic in the city.”
The state Department of Education’s website lists the following school closings: Rosh Hashanah (two days), Good Friday; non-religious holidays are Columbus Day, Presidents Day, Election Day, Memorial Day and Martin Luther King Day. Calls to education officials were not returned.

DAR AL HARB-U.K.: NO MORE MOSQUES
Church of England Synod member’s call to ban the building of any new mosques
by Ruth Gledhill, Religion Correspondent
A prominent evangelical member of the Church of England’s General Synod has called for a ban on the building of any more mosques in Britain.
Alison Ruoff also claimed that Sharia was inevitable in this country if mosques continued to be built here.
In an interview with London’s Premier Christian Radio, Mrs Ruoff, a former magistrate, said:
“No more mosques in the UK. There are enough mosques for Muslims in this country. They don’t need any more."
“You build a mosque and then what happens? You have Muslim people moving into that area, all the shops will then become Islamic, all the housing will then become Islamic and as the Bishop of Rochester has so wisely pointed out, that will be a no-go area for anyone else."
“They will bring in Islamic law. We cannot allow that to happen.”
...
Death threats (fatwas) to appear at anytime, raging inbread moslems foaming at their mouths to appear soon on the streets of the United Kingdom, etc...proclaiming they are members of the 'religion of peace' but holding up placards calling for the death of infidels around the world...

DAR AL HARB/ISLAM-U.S.A./U.A.E.: U.S. NADE COMPUTER CIRCUITS FOUND IN ROAD SIDE BOMB DETONATORS
U.S. fails to halt Emirates' dangerous trade
by Eric Lipton
Roadside bombings of American troops in Iraq were occurring with bloody regularity when military investigators made a disturbing discovery: American-made computer circuits sold to a trading company in the United Arab Emirates had turned up in the bomb detonators.
That finding set off a clash with Washington last year when the Bush administration cited the diversion of the computer circuits to Iran, and eventually Iraq, as proof that the United Arab Emirates were failing to prevent American technology from slipping into the wrong hands. Administration officials said other so-called dual-use goods - including aircraft parts, specialized metals and gas detectors that have a potential military use - had also moved through Dubai, one of the emirates, to Iran, Syria or Pakistan.
The diplomatic face-off, which drew little public attention, prompted the United States to threaten tough new controls on exports to the United Arab Emirates, an important ally. The restrictions would have deeply embarrassed a nation that had invested billions of dollars to become a global trading hub and had just begun a campaign to burnish its image in the United States after the uproar in 2006 over a proposed deal that would have allowed a Dubai company to manage some American ports.
The Bush administration backed down only after the United Arab Emirates promised to pass their own export control law. But nearly a year after the confrontation, it is unclear that much has changed.
Yousef al-Otaiba, an adviser to the crown prince of the United Arab Emirates, said his country was more closely monitoring goods that it re-exported while blocking items that might help Iran build weapons systems. But trade experts, a Commerce Department investigator and Iranian traders in Dubai said evidence was scarce that the new export control law was being broadly enforced.
"It has virtually had no effect, to be honest," said Nasser Hashempour, deputy president of the Iranian Business Council in Dubai. "If someone wants to move something - get it to Iran - it is easy to be done."
Relations with the United Arab Emirates have long been delicate for the United States. Dubai, for example, is the host for more navy ships than any other port outside the United States and is an important listening post for U.S. intelligence personnel. Emirates officials have complied with a Bush administration request to inspect American-bound ship containers for nuclear threats as they move through Dubai.
But the country, which is made up of the emirates Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Al Fujayrah, Umm al Qaywayn and Ras al Khaymah, has deep economic and cultural ties with Iran, which is only about 110 kilometers, or 70 miles, across the Gulf from Dubai. As many as 400,000 Iranians live in the Emirates, many of them traders who track down goods in the sprawling consumer bazaar of Dubai and then re-export them to Iran, at times ignoring United Nations trade sanctions related to Iran's nuclear program and a broader U.S. embargo.
...
Well at least the U.A.E. did not get to rule the ports within the United States, who knows what would have happened there...
Perhaps Abrams tanks or Armored Personnel Carriers, surface to air missiles, etc...

DAR AL HARB-U.K.: NO ANTI-HOMOPHOBIC BOOKS IN OUR SCHOOLS SAY MOSLEMS - - - BRITISH DHIMMIS OBEY WITHOUT QUESTION
Muslims' fury forces schools to shelve anti-homophobia storybooks for 5-year-olds
Two primary schools have withdrawn storybooks about same-sex relationships after objections from Muslim parents.
Up to 90 gathered at the schools to complain about the books which are aimed at pupils as young as five.
One story, titled King & King, is a fairytale about a prince who turns down three princesses before marrying one of their brothers.
Another named And Tango Makes Three features two male penguins who fall in love at a New York zoo.
Bristol City Council said the two schools had been using the books to ensure they complied with gay rights laws which came into force last April.
They were intended to help prevent homophobic bullying, it said.
But the council has since removed the books from Easton Primary School and Bannerman Road Community School, both in Bristol.
A book and DVD titled That's a Family!, which teaches children about different family set-ups including gay or lesbian parents, has also been withdrawn.
The decision was made to enable the schools to "operate safely" after parents voiced their concerns at meetings.
Around 40 are said to have gathered at Easton to speak to staff and another 50 at Bannerman Road.
Members of the Bristol Muslim Cultural Society said parents were upset at the lack of consultation over the use of the materials.
Farooq Siddique, community development officer for the society and a governor at Bannerman Road, said there were also concerns about whether the stories were appropriate for young children.
"The main issue was there was a total lack of consultation with parents," he said.
"The schools refused to deal with the parents, and were completely authoritarian.
"The agenda was to reduce homophobic bullying and all the parents said they were not against that side of it, but families were saying to us 'our child is coming home and talking about same-sex relationships, when we haven't even talked about heterosexual relationships with them yet'.
"They don't do sex education until Year Six and at least there you have got the option of withdrawing the children.
"But here you don't have that option apparently. You can't withdraw because it is no particular lesson they are used in."
He added: "In Islam homosexual relationships are not acceptable, as they are not in Christianity and many other religions but the main issue is that they didn't bother to consult with parents.
"The issue should have been, how do we stop bullying in general, and teaching about homosexuality can be a part of that."
"This was completely one-sided."
"Homosexuality is not a priority to parents but academic achievement is. This just makes parents think 'What the heck is my child being taught at school?'."
He said the two schools were 60 to 70 per cent Muslim but pointed out that non-Muslim parents were among those who complained. [Uh huh, the TOKEN INFIDELS have to be mentioned...The problem is that if INFIDELS had complained alone, the school authorities would have said 'TOO BAD SO SAID, WE KNOW WHAT IS BEST FOR CHILDREN' but since it was moslems (we will chop off your head of you don't obey) the authorities proved to be excellent dhimmis and withdrew the books, probably while bowing so deeply that their backsides were exposed, etc...ed AI...]
Traditional Islamic views condemn homosexuality but there are liberal movements, such as the Al-Fatiha Foundation, which is dedicated to gay Muslims.

ALGERIA: OFFICIALS ORDER CLOSURE OF 19 PROTESTANT CONGREGATIONS
Police in Muslim country detain Christians for carrying Bibles.
ISTANBUL, March 28 (Compass Direct News) – Police issued written orders for three Algerian churches to cease activity this week, bringing to 19 the number of congregations told to shut down since November, an Algerian Protestant leader said.
In addition to the three churches, registered under the Protestant Church of Algeria (EPA), two independent congregations were verbally ordered to close their doors, EPA President Mustapha Krim said.
The church closures come amid a flurry of antagonistic media articles warning of campaigns by Protestants to “Christianize” Algeria.
“Muslims do not accept seeing their holy symbols attacked,” Religious Affairs Minister Bu’Abdallah Ghoulamullah said this week in reference to a “Christianization campaign” targeting the country.
Ghoulamullah called on Christian groups in Algeria to re-register according to Algeria’s associations’ law, the March 25 article in Arabic daily El Khabar reported.
But some critics have responded that Algeria’s Christians, not its Muslim majority, are the ones being attacked.
“The repression of evangelist proselytism has turned into the harassment of Christians,” columnist Mustapha Hammouche wrote in Liberte on Tuesday (March 25).
Indeed, Algerian Christians have claimed that the government has blocked them from carrying out the required re-registration of their churches.
“The administration offices in Tizi-Ouzou did not want to or could not say which measures to take in order to obtain the famous ‘certificate of conformity,’” church leaders wrote on March 26. They said the certificate was required to show that they were in line with a new March 2006 law governing non-Muslim places of worship.
“[The] result: the churches are closed, services forbidden, and nothing can change the situation!” reported the Algerian Christian website collectifalgerie.free.fr on March 26.

DAR AL HARB-U.S.A.-MICHIGAN: KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKED GOES HALAL - - - ISLAMIZATION OF THE UNITED STATES PROGRESSING SMOOTHLY
Halal food lands on menus
It reflects growing interest by Muslims
BY NIRAJ WARIKOO
Growing up in Dearborn, Zeinab Chami often was tempted by ads for Col. Sanders' original recipe, the finger-lickin' meal sold by fast-food giant KFC.
However, Chami was an observant Muslim, and the restaurant's chicken was not halal, meaning it wasn't prepared according to Islamic law. Her choices usually were limited to what her immigrant parents cooked or the occasional takeout from Middle Eastern restaurants.
But now she's able to get a taste of KFC. Last month, the restaurant's east Dearborn restaurant began selling halal chicken, a change that reflects the growing demand for halal products among metro Detroit's sizable Muslim population.
Underneath the colonel's bearded face, the store's sign reads "Now serving halal original & crispy." The juxtaposition of an American icon with Islamic tradition is a striking display of the changing landscape of southeast Michigan. Halal meat is not new to Dearborn's butcher shops and Arab restaurants, but a growing number of national chains have been accommodating the local demand for Muslim food in recent years.
"A lot has changed just in the past decade," said Bilal Dabaja, 22, a Dearborn resident who eats halal. "More people want these products."
The change is similar to how the growing Jewish population decades ago led to kosher becoming part of the American food industry and vocabulary. The kosher symbols "K" and "U" can be seen today on everything from Heinz ketchup bottles to Fruity Pebbles cereal boxes.
Muslims hope to create a similar market for halal products.

DAR AL HARB/ISLAM-FRANCE/IRAQ: FRENCH MOSLEMS WAGING JIHAD IN IRAQ
French Muslims vent frustrations on Iraq battlefields
PARIS, March 31, (AP): Boubakeur el Hakim traded his Paris neighborhood of boulangeries and halal butcher shops for the insurgent camps of Iraq. When he came home, he told his war stories to other young men on the forgotten edges of French society, allegedly persuading some to follow in his footsteps. His younger brother did, and died fighting US forces. After years of investigation by French authorities, el Hakim, 24, went on trial this month in a case exposing how the Iraq war has sucked radical youths from Europe to a battlefield where they have learned skills that officials fear may one day be used in domestic terror attacks. Along with four other young Frenchmen, a Moroccan and an Algerian, el Hakim is accused of funneling French Muslim fighters to Iraq. All the Frenchmen except suspected ringleader Farid Benyettou, 26, have acknowledged going to Iraq or planning to go. All deny inciting others to go. All seven men are accused of criminal association with a terrorist enterprise, a vague charge that carries a maximum 10-year sentence, though the prosecutor only asked for between three and eight years.
Delicate
The case is a delicate one in France, which strongly opposed the US-led campaign in Iraq but has long struggled against homegrown terrorism. It also highlights a dilemma in many European nations with growing Muslim populations: Cracking down hard risks alienating or radicalizing moderate Muslims and betraying western ideals of tolerance. The suspected nucleus of the network, janitor-turned-street preacher Benyettou, told the court the case against him was “fantasy” and an affront to his freedom of speech. He told the judge he had served only as a friendly ear to young people in his neighborhood, answering questions about Islam that went ignored by France’s secular schools and institutions. In one interrogation session with anti-terrorist agents, however, Benyettou said: “I taught that suicide attacks are legitimate under Islam.”
“Jihad is justified,” he said in another session in the days following his January 2005 arrest, according to the depositions viewed by The Associated Press. El Hakim described placing and detonating roadside bombs with equipment that resembled a cordless phone, the transcript of one deposition says. He claimed 10 American troops were killed in the last three operations he took part in, it says. In a French radio interview broadcast from Baghdad in 2003, he urged Parisian friends to join him on the battlefields. “I’m ready to set off dynamite and boom! Boom! We kill all the Americans!” he said on RTL radio. In court, while he didn’t deny his radio appeal, el Hakim said some of his statements to police were made under duress and that his role in Iraq was primarily “humanitarian.”
Alleged
Investigators say the alleged network funneled about a dozen French fighters to camps linked to al-Qaida in Iraq head Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, and sought to send more before he was killed in a US airstrike in 2006. At least seven French insurgents have died, some in suicide bombings, police say.

DAR AL HARB-ISRAEL: MOSLEMS HATE JEWS & WANT THEM DEAD
The jihad against the Jews
By Bradley Burston
The jihad has a problem with the Jews.
Not just a problem with Israel. Not just the occupation. Not just the policies of the Israeli government, the actions of the Israel Defense Forces, the support by Washington and the West for Israel's embargo against Hamas-ruled Gaza.
Islamists don't care who knows it anymore. They hate the Jews. And, not to put too fine a point on it, they want the Jews dead.
Some of it one has grown to expect. "Today there is no room for he who says that we should only fight the Jews in Palestine," Osama Bin Laden's second-in-command Ayman al-Zawahri said after Israel's incursion into Gaza last month. "Let us strike their interests everywhere, just like they gathered against us from everywhere."
Some of it is becoming better known. In a groundbreaking article in The New York Times this week, Steven Erlanger details, among other elements of Gaza life, the tides of Jew-hate washing over the Strip with the Hamas seal of approval.
There is imam and legislator Sheik Yunus al-Astal, who, citing a Koranic verse indicating that "suffering by fire is the Jews' destiny in this world and the next," concludes that "we are sure that the holocaust is still to come upon the Jews."
There is imam and legislator Marwan M. Abu Ras, chairman of the Palestinian Scholars League and a religious authority who anchors Hamas policies in Koranic sanction, branding Jews "the brothers of apes and pigs."
This dovetails nicely with programming decisions taken by Hezbollah's Al Manar Television, which broadcast a Syrian-produced mini-series that showed a Jew killing a Christian child to obtain blood for baking Passover matza.
And then there is the case of the much anticipated, widely feared new film by Dutch lawmaker Geert Wilders, "Fitna." Officials across Europe and throughout the Muslim world have braced for the possibility of violent protests, demonstrations on the model of those sparked by Danish cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed, which protesters saw as a grave insult to Islam.
But the initial reaction has been muted, despite, or because of, an emphasis on footage such as Islamic clerics voicing virulent attacks against Jews, urging that Jews be killed and even beheaded, clips of a little girl quoting Allah in the Koran terming Jews "apes and swines," and of demonstrators promising "another Holocaust" and praising Adolf Hitler.
It is worth noting that, in an initial response to the release of the film on the Internet at the end of last week, the attorney representing the umbrella group for Dutch Muslims said that at first glance, "Fitna" does not constitute an insult to their religion.
One has to wonder, why not? Are calls to kill Jews as Jews not considered an insult?

DAR AL ISLAM-SAUDI ARABIA: WOMAN BEATEN TO DEATH FOR HAVING AN ONLINE CHAT - - - AHHH THE JOYS OF A 'PEACEFUL' ISLAM
Muslim Cleric Decries Facebook
A Saudi woman's alleged death at her father's hands has been cited by a Muslim cleric in his criticism of the Internet social networking site Facebook.
The al-Arabiya Web site said the case was reported by a Saudi Arabian news site as an example of the strife Facebook has caused Saudi Arabia, The Daily Telegraph reported Monday.
The Web site became the subject of controversy in Saudi Arabia after preacher Ali al-Maliki labeled it a destructive force against Islam. [Everything is a destructive force against islam, time to make use of 'everything' and get it destroyed before it & its followers destroy the West...ed. A.I.]
...
The Saudi news site said the Riyadh woman was beaten and shot by her father after he discovered her engaging in an online conversation with a man on Facebook. The incident occurred last August but was not reported until rafter Maliki criticized the social networking site.

DAR AL HARB-U.S.A.: OBAMA & HIS RACIST AMERICA HATING PREACHER
Obama and the Minister
By RONALD KESSLER
In a sermon delivered at Howard University, Barack Obama's longtime minister, friend and adviser blamed America for
1) starting the AIDS virus,
2) training professional killers,
3) importing drugs and
4) creating a racist society that would never elect a black candidate president.
...
"We've got more black men in prison than there are in college," he began. "Racism is alive and well. Racism is how this country was founded and how this country is still run. No black man will ever be considered for president, no matter how hard you run Jesse [Jackson] and no black woman can ever be considered for anything outside what she can give with her body."
...
"America is still the No. 1 killer in the world. . . . We are deeply involved in the importing of drugs, the exporting of guns, and the training of professional killers . . . We bombed Cambodia, Iraq and Nicaragua, killing women and children while trying to get public opinion turned against Castro and Ghadhafi . . . We put [Nelson] Mandela in prison and supported apartheid the whole 27 years he was there. We believe in white supremacy and black inferiority and believe it more than we believe in God."
...
"We supported Zionism shamelessly while ignoring the Palestinians and branding anybody who spoke out against it as being anti-Semitic. . . . We care nothing about human life if the end justifies the means. . . ."
...
"We started the AIDS virus . . . We are only able to maintain our level of living by making sure that Third World people live in grinding poverty. . . ."
...
Mr. Wright spoke glowingly of the Nation of Islam leader. "His depth on analysis [sic] when it comes to the racial ills of this nation is astounding and eye-opening," Mr. Wright said of Mr. Farrakhan. "He brings a perspective that is helpful and honest."
...
Hearing Mr. Wright's venomous and paranoid denunciations of this country, the vast majority of Americans would walk out. Instead, Mr. Obama and his wife Michelle have presumably sat through numerous similar sermons by Mr. Wright.
Indeed, Mr. Obama has described Mr. Wright as his "sounding board" during the two decades he has known him. Mr. Obama has said he found religion through the minister in the 1980s. He joined the church in 1991 and walked down the aisle in a formal commitment of faith.
The title of Mr. Obama's bestseller "The Audacity of Hope" comes from one of Wright's sermons. Mr. Wright is one of the first people Mr. Obama thanked after his election to the Senate in 2004. Mr. Obama consulted Mr. Wright before deciding to run for president. He prayed privately with Mr. Wright before announcing his candidacy last year.
Mr. Obama obviously would not choose to belong to Mr. Wright's church and seek his advice unless he agreed with at least some of his views. In light of Mr. Wright's perspective, Michelle Obama's comment that she feels proud of America for the first time in her adult life makes perfect sense.
Much as most of us would appreciate the symbolism of a black man ascending to the presidency, what we have in Barack Obama is a politician whose closeness to Mr. Wright underscores his radical record.

DAR AL HARB-U.S.A.-OKLAHOMA: ANOTHER DOOR OPENS FOR DA'WA
Okla. House passes bill to protect student religious expression
Legislation that protects students' rights to express their religious viewpoints in public school classrooms was approved by the Oklahoma House yesterday despite objections from opponents who said it was unnecessary.
"This is a solution looking for a problem," said Rep. Ed Cannaday, D-Porum, a former school teacher and administrator. Cannaday said the measure, which passed 71-25, expresses contempt for public school administrators by micromanaging what can occur in classrooms.
Rep. Dan Sullivan, R-Tulsa, said the bill merely compiled the legal guidelines from the federal government on a student's right to express his religious views at school.
"The real issue here is giving everyone a level playing field," Sullivan said. "This allows consistency across the board."
Sullivan said the measure did not favor one religion over another and did not violate the legal prohibition against public school officials sanctioning a religious point of view.
The measure says school districts must treat a student's voluntary expression of a religious viewpoint the same way it treats a student's voluntary expression of a viewpoint on another subject. It also says the school may not discriminate against a student on the basis of a religious viewpoint.
"Students may express their beliefs about religion in homework, artwork and other written and oral assignments free from discrimination based on the religious content of their submissions," the measure states.
It says students may organize prayer groups, religious clubs and religious gatherings before, during and after school to the same extent that students are permitted to organize other non-curricular student activities and groups.
Religious groups must be given the same access to school facilities for assembling as is given to other non-curricular groups without discrimination based on the religious content of the student expression.
...
How will moslems use this to their advantage in their da'wa jihad?!?
