Revolutionary guards to use new attack helicopters
Tehran, 4 Feb. (AKI) - Iran's 'Pasdaran' or Revolutionary Guards are to begin using its first Iranian-made helicopters capable of carrying missiles and equipped with a high-tech radar system and improved manoeuverability and agility, Iran's semi-official FARS news agency reported.
Also in the near future, Iran will begin producing unmanned drones capable of flying for up to 15 hours, at an altitude of 2,000 metres.
Meanwhile, Iran test-launched its first domestically-built space research unit in the presence of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who also inaugurated Iran's first space terminal.
